CHARLIE SHEEN, the American actor and star of 'Two and a Half Men', has ended his controversial week by filing for divorce from his third wife BROOKE MUELLER. The actor caused a disturbance at the New York Plaza Hotel last week and was taken away for a psychiatric evaluation. It was alleged that the porn-star CHRISTINA WALSH was found in his room.
The actor filed papers to divorce from Mueller in Los Angeles, citing 'irreconcilable differences' for the split, according to BBC News. It has been reported that the couple signed a prenuptial agreement, however, a child custody battle looks set to begin. Sheen is reportedly happy to take joint custody of the couple's twin songs, however, his wife wants sole custody. The legal papers, submitted by both parties, say that Sheen and Mueller separated after an argument in Aspen Colorado on Christmas Day 2009.
Earlier in the year, Sheen was sentenced to 30 days at a rehabilitation centre after he pleaded guilty to assaulting Mueller. The actor was previously married to the Hollywood actress DENISE RICHARDS, who was in New York with him before last week's incident.
